SOURCE ♚ NAME: Marian Hawke ♚ CANON: Dragon Age ☄ First Impressions ♚ VISUAL: A woman in her mid-30s. She stands at about 5'8, with pale skin, pitch black hair (although by DA:I, she is getting those telltale grey hairs), and rather vivid blue eyes. She keeps her hair short. She's also pretty fit, which isn't surprising, considering how active she is and how heavy that staff she's swinging around tends to be. ♚ FASHION: Usually decked out in her Champion gear, sometimes with a hooded cloak, sometimes not. For maskormenace purposes, Hawke likes to sport jeans, boots, and red tops, be they tank tops or flannel shirts. Regardless, she typically has a sheathed knife attached to her belt, at the small of her back. ♚ DEMEANOUR: She holds herself tall with confidence, the sort where she might just barge into a room like she owns the place and never mind the trouble it'll bring her. More often than not loud, prone to drawing attention to herself, and very open about her opinions on just about anything. She is very obviously a troublemaker. She also very obviously does not care that she is. ♚ AURAL: Often cheerful or amused-sounding, with a Fereldan accent (in her case, she sounds a bit upper crust British; here are some examples, although the video uses a custom Hawke instead of the default). ♚ OLFACTORY: No specific scents, though she's typically clean unless stuck traveling through off-road or through bad weather. For maskormenace, sometimes smells like dogs, sometimes like the farm. ♚ MENTAL INFORMATION: No mind shields here, baby, but she's noticed people messing with her head before and she's like to notice again. ♚ MAGICAL INFORMATION: Hawke is a mage. She is very, very magical. ☄ OOC ♚ TAGGING: I'll reply to both commentspam and prose-style tags in like, regardless of what my top levels use. I love playing off other Dragon Ages, but cross-medium and cross-canon are also definitely encouraged. ♚ BACKTAGGING: Backtagging is a-ok with me. I'll backtag for at least up to a month or more, depending on the thread. My one exception is plot-sensitive threads, as I expect those to go somewhat faster than usual, and may ask to handwave how they end if they fall too far outside the plot timeline. ♚ FOURTHWALLING: I'l pass on this. Sorry. ♚ NEGATIVE CR: Not everyone is going to like Hawke and that is 100% okay. I enjoy negative CR as much as positive and hold a strict line between what's IC and OOC. Negative CR will always, always only be IC. ♚ PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Hawke is fine with physical affection. She doesn't have any real hang-ups about her own personal space, assuming the other person in question isn't being really weird, and hugs and platonic stuff won't bother her in the least. Anything more intimate than that requires a little more of a heads-up, though, or one risks being set on fire (unless your plan is to get your character set on fire, then alright, let's do this). ♚ PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: She's killed and fought her way through an awful lot of people, monsters, etc, etc, so that's a yes to physical violence. Feel free. She can get pretty violent herself, given cause. ♚ RELATIONSHIPS: Absolutely up for shipping with Hawke. She's a Bioware protag, so that's kind of a given, yeah? Flirting, casual relationships, romantic relationships, slow burn, one night stands, whatever, it's all good. She is also bisexual, so women are bound to get just as much attention as men.
