While she sifts through one rack, Hawke will turn to idly sift through another one, although, in her case, she isn't seriously looking. In fact, what she comes up with? She pulls a particularly awful sweater out. ]

Who thought this was a good idea?

[ She grins at the sweater. Ah yes, thrift shop finds. ]

I bet you'd like it if it was a dog on the sweater instead.

And...

[ She pulls out her very own ugly thing from the rack. ]

The same person who thought this was a good idea.

If it had been, no force on this planet would have been able to stop me from getting it.

[ Not even you, Kasumi. Anyway, putting cat sweater back and...

That other shirt... ]

Oh. Oh no. I think I need to get that for someone else.

Someone else? You'd inflict this horror on another human being, Hawke?

[ But she's slooooowly putting it back... ]

What can I say? I just love leaving Dorian all sorts of presents to find.

[ And by presents, she means disasters, but. You know. ]

[ She's still picking through that one rack idly, though she's not really sure what Kasumi has in mind when it comes to replacing her much preferred red tank top and jeans. How can you top that, she asks? How? ]

So you live all alone, do you?

Of course I do. This whole "enigmatic" thing I have going on would be much more difficult otherwise.

[ She's continuing to look through the racks, hanger of clothing by hanger, as she speaks. In time, she pulls out a loose-looking, flowy button-up shirt. ]

What about something like this?

And you don't have to share.

[ She looks away from her own clothing rifling and gives the shirt Kasumi holds up an appraising look. ]

I suppose that isn't too bad.

Or wear pants around the place. It's pretty great.

[ But Kasumi gives her a little nod and drapes the shirt over her arm as she turns and keeps looking. ]

Alright, well that's one thing. You'll definitely need that leather jacket we were talking about, too.

As if you need to live alone to do that.

[ There's all of one other person in the house with her, she can do what she wants. ]

What about the one I already have?

[ The terrible one meant to survive street brawls and that's it, that's its job. ]

Of course I do. It would detract from all my mystery to walk around with no pants on.

As for the jacket. Well, that one you can keep. But you need a nicer one for going out and looking really awesome, too.

Just leave the hood on. It'd still be mysterious!

[ And very, very strange. ]

I'm sure why I need a nicer one for doing anything at all. It's not like the first one is embarrassing...

[ Even if "Faust" disagreed. The opinions of villains do not count. Still, she spots something in another rack, one that is mostly jackets, and pulls it out. ]

What about-- oh, no. This one is missing about a foot of length.

[ She regards the jacket with some amusement. ]

No, no, we're keeping that one. Or at least having you try it on.

But you can hardly even call this a jacket.

[ It's short! She'll keep it out, sure, but not without the requisite amount of wariness. ]

I mean, it'll hardly keep you warm, but it's not like we spend much time out in the cold, right?

No, not yet. Do any of these places have a proper winter?

[ She gets the feeling Heropa does not, at the very least. ]

As far as I know, De Chima and Maurtia Falls should have something of a winter. Definitely compared to Heropa, at least.

So hey, maybe you will get some use out of these jackets.

[whathawksdo]

Not this one. [ She gives the little one a shake. ] It's hardly a proper coat.

[ Hence her previous complaint. ]

So, what else does the great thief think I should try wearing?

Okay, okay. We'll find a better one.

[ And then she pulls this out. ]

[ If Kasumi had hoped that Hawke would recoil in horror from that plaid mess, then the joke's on her. ]

See? Now you're onto something. Keep that one out.

[stealwithit]

[ It goes unseen beneath the shadow of her hood, but she squints.

And puts the heinous thing back onto the rack. ]

[whathawksdo]

[ Unseen, perhaps, but... does she feel like she's being judged here? ]

Oh, come on. It wasn't that bad.

Oh, fine. Not my personal favorite, but you're the one who'd be wearing it, so.

[ okay she pulls it back out. Begrudgingly. Maybe it'll look less heinous once it's on a person or something. ]

[ No, it won't, which Hawke will prove immediately by trading who's holding what with her -- Kasumi gets the actual leather jacket, she takes the awful coat -- and pulls it off the hanger. It's just a coat, so she can try it on and also embarrass Kasumi in real time in the middle of a store by wearing it at all.

Which she does.

It's still awful. ]

It certainly has the weight to manage through a winter.
